behavioral health needs. We accomplish this with input from others and a
wide range of community based services that reflect our commitment to

Services
Family Alternatives (FA) has been providing care in this area since
1982...over 25 years. Our services include:
CAP-MR/DD Direct Services in Cumberland, Robeson, Bladen, Columbus, and
Scotland Counties
Targeted DD Case Management Services for children and adults with
Developmental Disabilities with the following diagnoses: Mental
Retardation, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome, Pervasive
Developmental D/O; and any other medical diagnosis that causes developmental
disabilities; Planned expansion of this services is targeted for Cumberland
County
Supervised living homes for CAP-MR consumers in Robeson, Cumberland,
Scotland, Bladen, and Columbus Counties
Psychiatric Services for CAP-MR and Targeted DD Case Management Consumers
Personal care and respite services for CAP-MR consumers in Cumberland,
Robeson, Bladen, Columbus, and Scotland Counties
Supported Employment for CAP-MR consumers with planned expansion for VR
Consumers
Group Homes for adults with developmental disabilities in Laurinburg,
Gibson, Elizabethtown, and Bladenboro
Therapeutic Foster Care services with planned expansion in five counties
Psycho-social rehabilitation programming (PSR) for day programs in
Whiteville, Elizabethtown, Laurinburg, and planned reopening of a new
location in Robeson County.
